Provide your members with "World Wide" tanning privileges and attract more outside sales by joining the International Tanning Co-op, the world's only reciprocal membership program for Indoor Tanning. After reading below please select the “FAQ’s” link to learn more! 1. Offer Multiple Location Travel Privileges: This is the same program available in the Fitness Industry for over 47 Years. Franchised Salons present a “Multi-Location” advantage to each new customer that is introduced to their salon. The Tanning Co-op levels the field for smaller salons by enabling them to offer their clients the same benefit as these larger salon chains. If you (The Home Salon) have a member who is traveling to another city simply use the search feature to find an active member (Host) salon in the city that your client is visiting. These salons have agreed to provide three free tans to your visiting members in their Basic Level Beds. And don’t worry….The salon that is being visited must be 50 miles or more away from your salon, therefore eliminating any worries of competition. 2. Attract New Members: If you are the salon being visited (The Host Salon) you will also benefit from being a part of the Co-op by adding new tanners to your client list which, as you know, is one of the factors that can determine the value of your business. Also, even though you agree to provide three free tans in your most basic level bed, an upgrade to a higher level bed at normal price is always a possibility. There are also opportunities for Lotion Sales as well as the sale of any other Product, Service or Merchandise your salon may provide. In fact... One sale to a visiting customer can more than cover the membership fee of $49.00 for the entire year! Also keep in mind that not every Co-op tanner that visits your salon will be on vacation. Some are in fact looking to relocate to your area! The Co-op gives you the opportunity to present your salon to them FIRST, before they shop around! 3. Eliminate “On Hold” Memberships if you Choose: Often a member will ask for a membership to be placed on hold due to travel. Many times placing memberships on hold becomes a troublesome task, even if salons charge for the service. There are often disputes about how many days should be left on a membership when the client returns. Also, many times a client will leave town and simply forget to call and place a hold before they leave, then ask for credit when they return. By becoming a member of the Tanning Co-op, if you wish, you have the option to eliminate the hold process all together (This is purely your choice!). When a client asks if you can put their membership on hold simply inform them that you offer Travel Privileges. This allows them to tan three (3) times at another member salon in the city they are visiting free of charge, Thereby eliminating the need for the hold. Again, as long as the city is more than 50 miles away. You will also have the opportunity to renew the member on the original renewal date instead of a week later, or however long the hold period would have lasted. If you prefer you can continue to offer “Holds” as a service or profit center for your salon. 4. Enhanced Listing Including Google Map, Web Address and Salon Phone: Another advantage to membership in the Co-op is that your active listing on the website will include your salon phone number as well as a link to your website if you have one. A Google Map feature is also included to make your salon very easy to locate! With your “Active” status you will ensure that those who use the search feature will see all the benefits your salon has to offer… and be able to contact you easily! For an example…. Use the search page and enter 34277 as the Zip Code. You will then see the “Your Salon“ listing furnished as an example.. The benefits to both the Host and the Home salons are many.... And as a member of the International Tanning Co-op you derive the benefits of being BOTH a Home salon for your members as well as a Host salon for those traveling! The Co-op will prove to be one of the most powerful sales tools and services your salon can offer. Click the “FAQ’s” link for more details. How to Join…. The Co-op is Owned and Operated by Salon Owners with more than 19 years in the salon industry and is a “Not For Profit” endeavor. The membership fee goes directly to the maintenance and hosting of the Co-op site and webmaster fees to add new members. Yearly membership dues are $49.00 for a calendar year (365 Days) paid via the PayPal link below or by sending your salon information along with payment to our address located on the "Contact us" page. Membership dues paid via the PayPal link will be the fastest way to add your salon to the Co-op. Typically a salon membership can be activated within a few hours after payment has been sent using the PayPal link. A Credit Card option is available by clicking the PayPal link at the bottom as well.
